Ancient people once lived where you live now and survived by using local edible and medicinal plants. Those plants are still there and you can learn to use them safely for food and medicine.

Ellen Kamhi (PhD RN, AHN-BC, AHG-RH), author of The Natural Medicine Chest, has been teaching people how to recognize, collect and safely use local plants for over 40 years; she will be your guide to the wild edibles and medicinal weed walk at the Organic Garden of St. Joseph’s.

Meet at the ORGANIC GARDEN. Look for signs as you drive in off Brentwood Road. We will meet in the barn rain or shine. Address: St Joseph’s, 1725 Brentwood Road, Brentwood, NY 11717

REGISTER through Brentwood Public Library.
