Did any ancient people live where you live now? Were there grocery stores on every corner? They lived by knowing and eating the local plants. Those plants are still there, you just need to learn which, when, why and how to use them safely for food and medicine.
This is fun and fulfilling for yourself and your family, and can, in some circumstances become a life saving survival skill!
Ellen Kamhi, PhD RN, and Dr. Eugene Zampieron, ND AHG (“Dr. Z”), authors of THE NATURAL MEDICINE CHEST, have been teaching people how to honor, recognize, collect and safely use local wild edible and medicinal plants for over 25 years!
We offer 1-2 hour Plant Identification Walks, and Full Day Edible & Medicinal Herb Walk and Medicine Making Workshops.
