About Robert Verkerk PhD
Robert Verkerk BSc MSc DIC PhD FACN is a multi-disciplinary scientist, researcher, educator, regulatory expert and campaigner with 40 years’ experience in the non-profit sector, academia and as a consultant to the regenerative agriculture and natural products sectors. He holds Masters and PhD degrees from Imperial College London where he continued as a postdoctoral researcher for a further 7 years, working in Eastern and Southern Africa, as well as Central and South East Asia.
In 2002, Dr Verkerk founded the non-profit Alliance for Natural Health (ANH) that has been at the forefront of protecting and promoting natural and regenerative health approaches and health freedom internationally. He has acted as ANH’s executive and scientific director since its inception, and in April 2023, after being ANH-USA’s scientific director for 15 years, Dr Verkerk also became the organization’s executive and scientific director
He has authored more than 60 papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings and has pioneered novel approaches to risk-benefit assessment and regenerative health. Additionally, is a fellow of the American College of Nutrition and contributes regularly to magazines and other popular media. He is an accomplished and inspirational speaker and communicator on a wide range of issues relating to sustainability.
