Who is Dr. Udaya Thomas?

Udaya Thomas PhD APRN is a first-generation immigrant born in Kerala, India, and raised in PA and Ohio. Udaya has lived, worked and traveled extensively in the US and Asia, Africa, South America, and Europe. Dr. Udaya has a PhD in Nursing in Interdisclipinary Health with a focus on Health Psychology, has worked as a social worker, nurse, researcher, international public health officer, yoga instructor, and as a primary care nurse practitioner.

Her book is : Car Talk-Body Talk: Integrative Primary Care for Adults Only by “Dr. Sunday”.  Dr Thomas offers Patient Centered care at Borinquen Medical Center in Miami, where she sees patients and also has a virtual consultation service  Usolicare (pronounced YOU-SOLELY-CARE) .

Who is Dr. Udaya Thomas?

Dr. Udaya Thomas is an Integrative Nurse Practitioner at Memorial Primary Care in Hollywood, Florida. She  completed her PhD in Nursing, Interdisciplinary Health with a focus on Health Psychology. Her dissertation was specifically focused on the effect of mindfulness meditation in groups of patients with anxiety compared to usual integrated behavioral health in primary care.

Who is Dr. Jacobs?

Dr Jacobs is a family practice physician specializing in integrative medicine. She is a clinical assistant professor in epidemiology at the University of Washington School of Public Health and Community Medicine. She received her MD degree from Wayne State University and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Washington.
Dr. Jacobs has served on the advisory board of the NIH Office of Alternative Medicine, co-founded the special interest group of the American Public Health Association on Complementary and Alternative Health Practices, and has published numerous research studies in peer-reviewed medical journals, such as Pediatrics, the Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal, and the European Journal of Integrative Medicine.

Dr. Jacobs has served on the editorial advisory boards of the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine and Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine and as an advisory board member of the monthly magazine Natural Health.
