The Sleeping Dragon is a quiet and effective guardian\, constantly on the lookout for an invasion or injury- this wakes the dragon and she breaths the fire of Acute inflammation. Heat\, redness\, and swelling ensue\, as white blood cells and other factors rush to the affected area and ultimately positively influence the healing process\, after which the Sleeping Dragon goes back in her den. The Evil Dragon emerges when inflammation becomes chronic\, with a ‘slow burn’ that  leads to a breakdown in cell structure that has been linked to most degenerative health issues. Societies around the globe have experimented with natural remedies that modulate inflammation for centuries. Use this series of classes to ignite your inspiration for better health with practical plant-based tools. Feel free to attend any one class on an individual basis\, or all four of the classes in the series. Now offered ONLINE! \nJoin nurse and herbalist Ellen Kamhi for an empowering and enriching journey into basic herbal medicine. Attend any one of the four workshops as a drop-in course\, or attend the entire series for a discount. Practitioners wishing to receive Continuing Education Units and others who would like to receive a Florida School of Holistic Living Certificate\, must attend the full series\, pay the CEU processing fee\, and complete all assignments. \nThis class meets for four Sundays over a four-month period\, from 9:30-11 am. The class will be live online via Zoom with the instructor in real-time. It will be interactive with question and answer sessions. All registrants will receive the course recording and handouts\, with access to materials for one year. \nNatural Nurse Herbal Certification Course:\n\n\n BASICS of Herbal Medicine Sunday March 10\, 2024  9:30 am – 11:00 am\n Botany & Botanical Nomenclature Sunday April 14\, 2024 9:30 am – 11:00 am\n Using Herbs for Yourself & Your Family Sunday May 19\, 2024  9:30 am-11:00 am\n Feeling the Consciousness of Plants  Sunday June 09\, 2024  9:30 am – 11:00 am\n\n\nAssignments can be emailed to the instructor.
