Biofilm is the basis of a variety of sticky coatings\, including Dental Plaque\, surfaces inside the aortic valve\, on implanted devices such as urinary catheters\, and on mucosa on all body interface surfaces. They can be a major link to a variety of health challenges.\n\nThe BIOFILM communal organisms possess a complex intra-species communication system that allows them to organize into a veritable fortress and develop highly advanced protective mechanisms that make them inaccessible and indestructible by pharmaceutical antibiotics leading to ever more advanced resistant strains. A variety of natural foods and botanicals can help to penetrate the biofilm layer\, allowing for disruption and cleansing of the affected area. SUMMARY:2022 Herbal Medicine Making Workshop

First\, participants walk the gardens and fields\, learning about and gathering wild medicinal herbs. Then\, participants assemble in the Tin House and process the herbs into simple tinctures\, salves\, and smudge sticks. Led by Ellen Kamhi\, PhD\, RN\, AHG\, AHN-BC\, and by Dr. Eugene Zampieron\, ND.\nParticipants should bring a bag to gather the herbs and 2-3 small jars for transporting home their own tinctures and skin salve. \n \nFee: $45 in advance (until July 5) \n$50 at the door if there is still seat available.
