So glad to hear some common sense around this! I say the same thing and people think I have 2 heads. My mom and sister both had breast cancer (lifestyle) and I still think it is utterly ridiculous to remove breasts to prevent anything.

I worked in OB/GYN nursing for years and could not understand this reasoning with circumcision either. I used the same “should we remove the heart to prevent possible heart disease later in life?” examples you use.

Common sense is powerful.

Isn’t removing lymph nodes inevitably part of a mastectomy and therefore only going increase the chances of a systemic cancerous occurrence?

AMEN, sister! Although they haven’t yet found a gene responsible for bipolar disorder, I know that I recovered permanently from bipolar disorder by avoiding gluten, purifying my diet, using supplements, restoring my intestinal flora, treating my thyroid condition and exercise. I know it’s possible to recover naturally from most health conditions because I’ve lived it. I’ve had no manic episodes since 1985! I think celebrities are under a lot of pressure to follow Big Pharma and the AMA’s agenda. Genetic testing is a big money-maker and even more now that Angelina is in the news. Sad. Really, really sad.
